Chatman J,  an artisanal bakery in the Bronx, New York, specializes in a limited collection of hand-crafted, award-winning cakes and pies with a Southern influence. Jean Chatman, master baker and owner of Chatman J Cakes demands perfection. All her desserts are made with premium natural, locally sourced organic ingredients. Jean’s mantra, is simple: as an indulgence, the taste must be worthy of the calories and the cost.  At Chatman J Cakes traditional favorites-- pies and cakes-- are elevated to culinary mastery.

Jean’s historically familiar but refreshingly new creations include her award-winning Zucchini bread, decadent Pecan Pie, Red Velvet Cake with cream cheese icing, Sweet Potato Pie, and Coconut Cake.  Jean puts her name and reputation behind each creation insuring it meets her high standards; and  is made with the utmost care and attention to detail.

Harlem native Jean Chatman, turned her passion for baking into a business; founding Chatman J Cakes in 2013.  Jean perfected her craft in the culinary diverse world of New York City, blending the richness of urban flavors with the soulful purity of the South.  Her original cakes and pies are baked “healthful” with all natural ingredients.
